We are grateful over the last three years of Soultrane Festival, to have people of influence who have aligned their hearts and their reach, with promoting our community, our goals, turning up to events, and actively sharing our message on socials. Soultrane ambassadors are integral to community building, both locally and across the world. People who advocate for Soultrane are actively driving cultural unity with their support. It is also a revival of the soul movement, in all of its forms, and through this we can create huge much -needed change.

tommy mccarthy

Tommy McCarthy is a European Cruiserweight Champion and one of Belfast’s most respected athletes. Beyond the ring, he uses his platform to uplift culture, promote unity, and highlight positive representation. He is also pursuing a career in stand-up comedy.

As a Soultrane Ambassador, Tommy actively supports our mission to revive soul, jazz, and funk in Northern Ireland and helps amplify the movement across communities.

winnie ama

Winnie Ama is a rising Northern Irish-Ghanaian singer‑songwriter whose soulful vocals, genre‑blending sound, and bold creative voice have made her one of the most exciting artists emerging from Belfast. Her work champions diversity, empowerment, and cultural expression — values that sit at the heart of Soultrane.

As a Soultrane Ambassador, Winnie uses her platform to support our mission & drive community‑building across Northern Ireland and beyond through her music.

Nesha Nycee

Born in St. Louis and raised in Atlanta, Nesha Nycee is an international Rap artist, songwriter, creative leader and cultural connector whose work spans music, education, performance and community impact. Influenced by the rich musical heritage and creative energy of both cities, she developed her voice from an early age and began performing and creating through hip hop as a vehicle for expression, storytelling and connection.

With roots deeply connected to hip hop culture and creative development, Nesha has built relationships across the wider music industry and has collaborated with, and shared creative spaces alongside, influential figures across the US music landscape, including internationally renowned rapper and producer Kurtis Blow and Grammy Award-winning producer Jazze Pha. Her journey through music has created opportunities to connect with artists and creatives across hip hop, R&B and contemporary Black music culture, helping shape an international outlook that extends beyond performance into advocacy, mentorship and artist development. A passionate supporter of Soultrane from the very beginning, Nesha has been a consistent champion of the organisation and its mission to celebrate soul music, music of Black origin and culture while building stronger communities through the arts. As a Soultrane ambassador, she has played an important role in helping strengthen cultural connections between Ireland and America, opening opportunities for collaboration, artistic exchange and international engagement.

Nesha contributes directly to Soultrane’s programme through workshops, performances and artist development activity, sharing her experience and encouraging creatives to connect, grow and find confidence in their own voice. Her work reflects Soultrane’s belief that music is not only something we experience, but something that can create understanding, opportunity and lasting change.

Through her international network, creative leadership and continued advocacy, Nesha remains an important part of the Soultrane journey as the organisation continues to build a lasting cultural home for soul and music of Black origin in Ireland

As an Ambassador, Nesha continues to help shape and strengthen Soultrane’s mission to celebrate soul music, music of Black origin and culture, and to build lasting community through the arts.

Ibe Sesay is a dynamic Northern Irish‑Nigerian creative, known for his work as a writer, poet, cultural curator, and advocate for community‑centered storytelling. His voice champions identity, unity, and the power of shared culture — what Soultrane is all about.

As a Soultrane Ambassador, Ibe brings his artistic influence and commitment of cultural connection to the forefront, helping support the revival of music of black origin.
